Hey Ed, good to see ya man! I always ask with the disclaimer, "according to your will" .... There are places in the Bible that say, "you have not because you ask not" ...although it goes on to say also, "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts" ......so I always encompass my prayer with the according to His will .... this way if He blesses me with a deer, I give Him the glory .....
Good answer, and that's usually the attitude I take towards it... I guess its not for us to try to discern/understand why He blesses, how much He blesses, and WHO he blesses, just be grateful for OUR blessings...
And besides, usually an hour or two into my conversation (hunt)w/ Him, I usually mention that it would be nice to see some deer
