Hey All,

Last night I did some glassing over a bean field I have been watching for some time now. I was on the way home and abig doe ran out in front of the car that was in the front of me. Well, needless to say the car slammed into the doe knocking it into the ditch. The glass was flying everywhere. I pulled over to check on the driver who immediately took off. There hadto be some major damage to thatvehicle because there was broken glass all over the road. I turned my flashlight on the doe who was laying in the ditch and when I walked up to it, it got up and ran up into the woods nearby. I guess it must have been stunned but ok.I counldn'ttell because it was dark. It really made me think of just how tough these animals really are! I wasamazed at howthis animal was hit so hard to throwitacross the road and then it gets up and runs away. It also made me think about how important it is for all of us to do our best inmaking a good, clean andaccurate vitalhit with bow and arrow on these animals.Today is the start of deer season inIllinois andwhat happenedlast night made me think more aboutthis subject and the responsibility we all have as bowhunters.
