There's a pretty cool video on Federal Premiums website showinga 165gr.NBT, Sierra Game King, Trophy Bonded Tip, and Barnes Triple Shock bullets from a .30-06 shot into 24" block of ballistic gelatin from 100 yards.
First just with the gelatin. Then through deer hide into the gelatin. Then through Moose hide into the gelatin with a cow femur embeded in the gelatin.
The NBT actually did really good in all 3 tests. Even better than the Game King on the last test with the cow femur.
Pretty cool watching how allthe bullets perform in slow motion video as they penetrate the gelatin.
I know thats not a true "in the field" test, but it was cool to watch.
I know if I run into a hunting situation where pure penetration through hide and bone is needed, I'm going to REALLY give that Barnes Triple Shock bullet a shot.
It was the only bullet that passed completely through the gelatin in all 3 test. Pretty impressive.
