I just don't post her picture here for all the leghumpers to gawk at.......
The cool part about this encounter is that I have a Moultrie D40 in the edge of the woodlot on the only trail out to see if there is any activity back there, and I just put it out there YESTERDAY AM!
So I might have the target smacker on camera. Been resisting the urge to go check all day.
I bet the poor Downy Woodpecker that built a nest in my target's neck was a little more startled by the encounter than I was.
Get out there and check that thing! And post the pics!
