COOOOL PICS. Sometimes thats almost as much fun as shooting one.

Nah not really but neat pics anyways.
I am a hunter first, but an amateur photrapher as a close second. As soon as there is enough light for the camera, which is usually 15-20 minutes after legal shooting light, I have the camera at hand and ready to go. This time of year, where a mature buck is less likely, I have my hand on the camera more than the bow.

However, as the rut approaches, it is just the opposite.

Awesome... love the shot of the turkey fluffing his wings.

What kind of gear did you use here to get all these wonderful photos?
Thanks. I was lucky to get that one but actually the squirrel was my favorite shot and it by itself made the weekend worthwhile.

I should also note that I took over 200 pictures this weekend and most of them found the delete button. I have a friend who is a professional outdoor and nature photographer and I asked him once how he took good pictures, expecting some detailed techinical jargon lesson but all he said was to take LOTS of picture and throw most of them away.

All those pics were taken with a 200mm lenses with a 2.8 aperture (made for lowlight situations) and a Nikon300. I have more money tied up in camera gear than I do a bow, but I get much use and enjoyment out it as I take lots of high school sports photos with it as well, not only for my son but his friends as well.
