ok mausers turn for a map....

i tried to label it well....

North you can see a road right along where i cropped...last season a nice buck was killed on the road where the creek crosses...

West you can see where the woods and fields meet...makes a thick hedrow that tapers down about 100-150yds to the west and has fields on both sides...a couple years back small game hunting a few buddies jumped a big buck from that thick hedrow...fields are corn and alfalfa and a few winter wheat fields that are just being planted now...also a main road 200-300yds west

you can see the crab apple thicket, old field, all the trees are mostly oaks...theres a few stands scattered about to the east...never see anyone in them...but hard to say if they bowhunt them or what...

i can park on the farmer road just south of where i cropped...another road is about 200-300yds south of the corner of the crop fields following the green line south...

i was thinking that somewhere between the corner of the crop fields and corn of the "old field" would be a nice funnel...if i can find a tree to climb in the creek ditch, i might beable to shoot both sides of the fields...theres a farmhouse just west of where i cropped..you can kinda see the yard...kinda makes a safe haven there...REAL thick stuff is marked in red but alot of the area that isnt oaks is pretty thick...

what do you guys have to say??? (no stands near me...closest one is a good couple hundred yards up the oak ridge past the apple thicket...)

my location sound about right? somewhere between the corners of the old field and crop field?? (old field is just an old "buffalo grass" field)




(the smaller ditch to the east in the middle of the map is SUPER thick and there isnt a whole lot of woods to the north i know it looks good from the ariel but i know its way to thick to bowhunt and doubt much travels it because it doesnt lead to anything really..)
