A jag & patch just wipes a barrelout trying to cleaning it.The Chiefs Pro Clean can and does get down into the lands and grooves to scrap them out to clean them .Keeping the Rifleing Sharp means it gets alot better hold on the bullet/sabot.While a Patch and Jag would not Dull it are should not anyway.Theycan and do often times aloud the old Risdue to build up along the edgestohave a roll over effect to the lands and grooves.
