If you are stuck on black then I dont think there is much to offer from Vortex, I think they only come in green. However I just purchaced the 15X50's (Viper) and am VERY impressed with them thus far. A group of us did a side by side comparison with 15 power binos, Swarovski, Minox, Fujinon, and of course Vortex Viper. The Swarovski was tops (it should be for 2K) however the Vortex were so close we could hardly tell in terms ofclarity except when the sun was setting!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the others were good as well, but the Vortex were amazing, and for 599$$ I figured it was a steal and got a pair!!

Go with the Vortex in my opinion!!!
