From the way your describing this pond, sounds like you need a small flat bottom boat or a canoe. You want something light and can be transported easy. How deep is the water?
Took the words out of my mouth. I know people that use canoes to retrieve their decoys and to get across muddy dikes and canals. a 10 - 12 foot aluminum john boat would also do fine. Just look around and you can find some for crack prices. A buddy of mine got a 14 ft aluminum john boat for just 100 dollars. Its a little leaky, but you cant beat that.
