I had a Remington 597 and I traded it off because the trigger was so terrible that it was next to impossible to shoot accurately. I opened it up to see why it was so heavy and almost threw it out the window. The system looks like it was made from leftover parts. Too much plastic, no facility for adjustment, and even polishing the hammer and sear didn't work. Also, the cheap plastic magazine didn't feed properly most of the time. I suggest going with the Ruger. Remington has lost their mind.
