I've been in the construction industry for the past 13+ years.....and I've been grooming myself for a marketing position within my current company for over 8 yrs of that.
I'm in the process of earning my Construction Management degree and have worked in the feild for a few years. It is an interesting (to say the least) industry, one with many ups and downs.
