One time I went bowhunting in early afternoon intending to sit for about five hours till dark. Around 4pm a storm blew in so suddenly, I never saw it coming. It was just like a wall of wind. I imediatly lowered my bow and hunting backpack. I Started coming down my tree in my climber when the rain hit. I ended up jumping, and yes, I went back and measured the next day, about 11.5 feet to the ground. I grabbed my stuff and took off running to the 4 wheeler, I thought I was gonna die. No idea how fast those winds were, but sometimes its best to just get out of the woods.
