i've hunted the windham hunter, jewett areas for years up to about 4 years ago, very tough going up in those mountains, they don't give out doe permits and the bucks are few and far between. it's beautiful country but not good for deer. i now hunt in southern ulster county 3M area. we are crawling with deer and the recent antler restrictions are showing alot of promise, we are starting to see some nice bucks down here now.....
