I love my API climber. Does the bowhunter have a rail around the upper portion or is it open? If it's open, I'd go with the rail. It doesn't get in the way of your bow and gives me an added sense of security. Lean into your safety belt and thighs against the rail. Feels real secure; and it is. Also gives you a good place to sit when climbing. take the foot straps off! Catch your toes under the side rails. You'll have much better control of the bottom part and less STUFF to mess with.
