RE: API Treestands vs. Others(o'lman, lone wolf etc)
I have had mine for one season so far. I love it it has put me in the right places at the right times. The chains work great but the shrink tubbing gets brittle, cracks and wears off. This has no effect on the noise level or climbing ability. I also broke the snap lock plastic clamp on the seat binder. It was 20 cents to replace at True-Value. I can not say enough good things about this stand. The cost is on the lower end of climbers and it has a great standing platform. It has given me great confidence in my hunting and the ability to move due to changes in the field. It packs up great and very quiet when walking in the woods. The seat is comfortable and works well. I love my API Grand Slam Bowhunter and will use it till it gives out or until I do. I am 6' tall and 155lbs. It is perfect for me.
