I have both the SG550 and the I-40. They both take quality pics. The trigger time is ~1.3 sec with the sg550 and the i-40 has a trigger of 2.5-4 seconds. Video works great in both cams. The moultrie can be set to 1 min per occurance to take a burst (13 sec apart) where the sg550 can be set to take a picture every second, it is only capable of ~ 7 secs. per camera reset. They both have high quality IR flashes, with the sg550 being narrower. Battery life is optimal for both units. Overall, a feeder camera is what moultrie designed its camera for. the sg550 is more of a trail camera(and i have caught deer trotting, even jumpingby). The battery life in both is great, this is where you will lose in the stealth cam.
