RE: Dropped Off or Walk to stand??????
I can totally see why you're asking. One of my best spots is off of a long gravel road through the woods. To get there, morning or afternoon, its just begging to get busted on foot. Drive down it slowly, however and the deer will just stare at you and go back about your business. However, I had a buddy drive me down it once and drop me off, idling while I climbed up. Fifteen minutes after he left, deer everywhere around me. In farm country and urban environments, deer are used to trucks and combines and construction vehicles moving past them at close distances. They don't like it though when a person is walking toward them or out on foot.
