I think if you do give Muck boots a try, you will love them. Over time your Alphas may eventually lose the smell, but it may take a while. Another thing, If you still want to wear them, rub soil on them often. The soil has a strong smell that may help some. In other words, give them a good dirt bath quite often.I rub soil, weeds, and pine needles on my boots when I'm bow hunting.
