I have both. My 239 is a .40 cal. It would be a bit big for an ankle holster in my opinion. I carry both off duty and have never had a problem with either of them. I carry my 232 in an inside the pants holster and don't even notice that it is there. I shoot speer gold dot and speer lawman in both guns and have never had a "jam".
