I've been using my Bushnell Yardage Pro Scout for several years with no issues. I do however, remove the battery after every hunt to help preserve the battery life. Around the time I bought mine, the Bushnell's had issues with battery life....ie: it was next to nill. I always bring extra batteries and like I said, remove the battery out of mine every time. It has never been a problem when I follow this process.
