Glad you are back and doing well...

50 grs is fine in a .54, that's what I use for squirrels, shoots flat out to about 30 yards...

You could even start with 25-30 grains and see how it does, doesn't take much to pop a round ball out of a barrel...I've even popped them out by pushing a few grains of FFFF through the touch hole...
