I just started using Speer bullets this past fall. They grouped EXCEPTIONALLY well in my 30-30. They only thing I was able to take with them was a 270 pound hog at around 25 yards. I had a quartering away shot. We were hunting with dogs so the hog was on the move. Dropped with one shot. Never recovered the bullet or fragments thereof. If they drop a big hog like that I would be entirely confident using them on deer. Good accuracy+dead animal=good bullet IMO. At 25-06 velocities however I would opt for the Grand Slam bullet
