RE: an ugly story
Chalk up antother person who had problems in Sproul State Forest. I went on the opening day with a buddy two years ago Near Snow Shoe. He had scouted the area and picked out some spots for us. Well I was sitting in my spot and just after daybreak this guy came trouncing through the woods and stopped at a tree 100yards in front of me and proceeded to unchain his climbing stand and climb the tree. I flashed my flashlight and coughed many times but no reaction. So I got up and walked over to him to confront him. I asked him if he saw me, he said yes and that he wasn' t going to move on this day. Then for some stupid reason he proceeded to ask me how long i' ve hunted there and where I was from like it mattered for some reason. Like I had to be a local to hunt there. Yeah I' m from State College and I know that for some reason people from up on the hill (This is what we call the people who live around that area) feel inferior for some reason. I proceeded to tell him that If I was in his shoes I would have moved, and I really would have, no big deal, there are plenty of places to hunt. So I just walked away and hunted nearby. I never did hear any shots from that direction, HA HA I guess that spot wasn' t that good afterall. There must be something in the water up there to make them act like that.
