RE: So who is king of the bow hill this year???
I picked up a used darton maverick for my son this year.Well, I have since handed him my Mathews and I am shooting the Maverick. The CPS is really smooth, nice valley, no creeping and yanking your arm out of socket(hello mathews).fast enough and very shootable.Even with the short BH it is stacking the arrows.According to Len they will have a new bow out for next year with a taller brace and more speed. The Hoyt system is very similar and shoots well.I just don' t like the tech riser. The Pat dually has no valley.I just don' t like it for a hunting bow. They also have some issues with quality and cam lean(ask rackattack).I' ve seen more than a few for sale lately. The hybrid cam seems to be were we are heading.Based on that Hoyt seems to be the hot ticket this year.Mathews has painted themselves into a corner with the single cam.As more people see the plusses of the hybrid, they could be in for some serious competion.
