Defense from what?? I feel safer in the deer woods than I do on the street. I know guys who carry in the woods but they are basically afraid of the dark. Bears?? The only ones I have seen were heading the other way as fast as they could go.
I do believe I would carry if mountain lions or grizzly bears were a threat but east of the old miss the boogy man is the only thing I fear. BOO.....
