Chuck, I have found that the deer go crazy with a very aggressive call (as well as bear). I have a fawn bleat call but I have found that my cow elk call (the plastic ones with the rubber band for a reed) works just as well and doesn't hurt my teeth like my bleat call does. I can make it sound like a dying fawn by blowing it differently than when trying to sound like an elk. All of my calling for deer has been for mule deer so I don't know how it would work for WTs.
