Now, does west TX have alot of timber ? I always see TX guys hunting from blinds or tripods, over sonderos. Maybe timbered along rivers ?
DT....Most of West Texas is either scrub oaks(10-15') cedars (6-20').The land I lease iscedar country and tri-pods and ground bilnds are the ticket.
You have the occasional oak that you might get a stand in, I have one about 14-16' in a oak on a live spring..
But
East Texas, is completely different, you have tall pines and large oak's...
My family owns a ranch there and all my stands ar hang on's....
