In Wisconsin it is against the law to be in possession of a deer while its still in velvet, although its illegal one may purchase a permit to keep the velvet deer. Even though the deer was harvested during the open archery season. Strange hu.

, So is anyones season rolling yet, Wis. opens this Saturday. scary part is I saw 5 bucks yesterday in full velvet yet...[&:]. Id really hate to get the additional permit to keep a velvet rack, hell I dont even know how much that cost in Wi. Does anyone know???
Educate me about the rules of Wisconsin ... are you saying you guys have to pay extra to kill a velvet horned buck? We don't have that option here b/c our season opens Oct 1 so velvet is gone by then.
