I think you are making a great call there, I also believe that guys with low KE using these big heads are a big part of the reason they get a bad name for poor penetration....We as hunters have to make good common sense (well informed) calls on the equipment that we use. Mechanicalsare not for every set up!!!!!
Wouldn't this be another reason not o use them at long distances with slower speeds and lower KE?
Like said before they are not for everyone and or every set up!!!!! If your set up doesn't produceadequateKE/Momentum/Speed,you don't need to use them. If your set up does produce adequate KE/Momentum/Speed,it will be still beeffective at averagehunting ranges in general!!!!

There again for some guys that bowhunt 60-70 yds, that might actually be an issue with any BH used!!! I guess in all reality it would depend on what you call long distances!!!!
