If my state were anything like that I would start hunting in another state. I mean, how can 1 deer only rule keep you engaged in a hobby? Literally, you guys might only hunt 1 day out of the year i.e. first day kill a buck or doe and then you're done.
I live in the area of Minnesota that usually only allows one tag. Many years I've gone without being I'm always holding out for that 130+ buck. Most years I loose on the buck end, some of them years I'm lucky enough to tag a doe after gun season but Its pretty tough to do. Last year I hunted 2 times for a total of 4 hours and shot myself a 140" buck. I felt absolutely guilty as heck being I didn't have to put the time in to get him last year that I've put In many other times. I was bored as heck last year not deer hunting, It drove me nuts but In all honesty I'd do It again If It worked out that way. There's other critters I hunt for also, that helps some.
This would be a good question to ask.....no poll.....just have people respond, individually.

I do live In a one deer area here In Minnesota and I'd like to see them give out a few more doe tags Instead of an either sex tag. Were sucking hind tit here In Minnesota with mature bucks, way to many young bucks get shot here. 4.5's and up are getting more rare as time goes on, It never use to be that way here!
