This is a true scenario. They have run tests to see how effective hunter orange really is and to see how much attention hunters pay to it. If a hunter sees orange far off in the distance he will be much safer and not take bad shots until he is sure it is in fact a deer. Of course if they get close enough the orange is irrelevent.
