I don't have a lot of experience with a lot of calibers. I have a Win. Model 70 in 270WSM. It's the stealth or shadow model with ablack composite stock. It's a light accurate rifle, especially withhand loads. It's flat shooting and from my experience at 100yds or less will drop a deer in it's tracks with a shot though the vitals. At least with this lighter weight model, it's not particulary fun at the range but I am a lanky guy with not a lot of shoulder. Shooting some lighter charge hand loads could fix that some. I bought mine from Wallmart for 4 something I believe. It was a good caliber, quality gun for a small budget. I have upgraded to a Burris Shortmag 4.5-14 scope and love it.
