i agree with "what kind of water your fishin" if its gin clear water a smaller more subtle presentation will probably work better, if the water has some color you can probably get by with more, make sure the weed guard is in good shape and throw in right into cover, a jig bite can be very frustrating, sometimes it like running over a brick with a lawnmower[8D][:-] other times its like reeling in a wet sock[&:], and sometimes all you'll detect is some line movement[]...

don't give up on it, they do catch fish , usually good fish
