I say that if this thief was where he was supposed to be and doing what he's supposed to do, then he wouldn't be in the position to be boobie trapped. I'm sure that nobody wants to see this guy get seriously injured, but he's trying to catch him the best way he knows how. If you don't like it, then why don't you offer some other solutions of how to catch this thief, instead of making him out to be the bad guy here.
