a site suggested a pinch of nutmeg or mace should be added to season the pies.
i;ll have a look around and see what other sites say.
a brady(not sure if you have a different name for them, we call them bridies)
is a bit like a pasty , its a filling similar to the filling in the meat pies, in a semi circular piece of flaky pastry finely chopped onions are also added to the meat though.
they' re rather good
