Default New Smoke Broadheads!!

Last week i read in the bow hunter guide review magazine about the new SMOKE broadhead, after all the hype i went to Jays Sporting Goods and bought a set of 3 Smoke 100 grain broadheads. For those of you that aren't familiar the smoke concept doesn't use rubber bands or anything to contain the blades but the blades deploy by a spring in the tip when depressed this spring deploys the blades "within .01 inches after impact." The Blades are totally concealed throughout flight and shouldn't effect the flight of the arrow. Well heres what i thought. I was pretty excited to get them out of the package and screw one into my Maximas at 20 yds i shot into my block and was quick to get up to the target. After reviewing the entrance cut and being a bit surprised at how there wasn't one i pushed the arrow the rest of the way through the target and once again to my surprise NONE OF THE BLADES HAD DEPLOYED!!! Thinking that MAYBE there wasn't enough resistance in my block i turned it around and shot into one of the unused areas, after a good shot i was pretty confident but to my surprise once again the blades had failed to deploy. Shot after shot after shot they failed. I began to wonder a lot about the deployment system so i opened the blades and pushed them through the target and to my unsuprise by this point the blades weren't open. As it would turn out the so called "locking mechanism" fails to do anything of the sort. Thinking that maybe it was just that broadhead i proceded to shoot the other two into the target to no avail every one of the failed to lock upon shooting. Sadly to say all the hype i'd heard about them turned out to be a whole lot of smoke about nothing, tomorrow i'll be returning them to pick up some rage 2 blades or G5 Tekans, sorry smoke i just was NOT impressed!!
