RE: 7600 Remington
I actually got the idea from Larry Benoit 25 years ago when I was invited into his house for a cup and some talk. When the 760's became 7600 with the raised comb the Benoits used a rasp andshaved the comb down then refinished the stock. I just couldn't bring myself to do that to a brand new gun when I bought it in themid 90's so I contacted Remington and they made the suggestion to replace the stock with one from their 20 ga shotgun. I think it cost me 65 bucks for the stock and I cut it down slightly and put a rubber recoil pad on it. I think Larry and his sons all use scopes now since they are older.
