The Extreme Cam is just a little ' hotter' than the Express Cam. It was designed to get better speeds out of the parallel limb designs (Avalanche and Magnum). There has always been requests for a Maverick with higher BH. By utilizing the Extreme Cam with different limb deflection, they seem to have solved the problem.

Keep in mind that extending BH will usually reduce speed, but the ' hotter' cam brings it back - and then some.

Darton may not be the ' BEST' bow on the market in several areas; but, the smooth draw and smooth let-down, coupled with real speed and shootability, have kept me shooting one for about 6 years. I can' t and won' t put up with a radical cam system or lower let-off to gain just a few FPS - and that' s really all there is.
