Default RE: WV Hunting Lease???

Taxes and insurance are included in the price. I am the one leasing the property. I am not the owner. The actual price of the lease is $2/acre. The insurance is around $800 and is included in the price. I do feel that $2/acre is a tremendous deal, but this company manages thousands of acres in WV alone and this is all they charge. So I'm not complaining.

We charge $250/acre and have 36 members. We like to try to keep membership at roughly 1 person/100 acres of land. 100% of the lease money goes back into the property. And it does have some of the best hunting in the state. We had two 170 inch deer taken on the lease last year which will rank among the top 10 bucks taken in the whole state last year. So its pretty good land.

The most I had ever heard of anyone paying for a lease in WV (before this) is about $10 an acre and I thought that was high, which is why the $17 surprised me alot. I was then even more surprised that someone actually paid it. My hat is off to you. That was a great deal on your part. And you still have the house which you can rent out as well.
