Default RE: Would it be yours?

Like Big Country, I won' t steal someone else' s treestand. However, I have been asked by one of the landowners to remove any treestands I find on his property. I removed an essential part of the stand and placed it nearby causing an intense search if he wanted to find it. The rest of the stand was left at the bottom of the tree (and was gone the next time I was there).

My rationale is: this poacher was breaking the law by hunting there and he' s lucky to not be explaining himself in court. He may get even luckier if he finds the missing part. The stand is not broken or hurt in any way and can be made useable again by replacing the missing part or fashioning a replacement.
