You say it was double ratchet strapped ?? As in 2 separate ratchet straps holding it ??

When I put up a stand, I always secure the regular stand strap, then I put a ratchet strap at the top, and another ratchet strap at the bottom. My stands do not move.... I secure Ladder stands this way, hang on stands this way, and when in a climber, I use the straps on it to secure it to the tree then put straps around the front of the tree to the stand to keep it from moving... ( both the foot and seat platforms ). Redundancy is the best protection... And my tree steps ratchet strap to the tree too...
