When a lot of people will tell you to stay away from sub 7" bh bows I ' ll say try one out first. I have had no problems with 6" + bh bows. But 5.5" bh for a hunting bow does seem extreme (even to me)!!

I' d go with the 6.5" version . The speed is not that much different !
