I had the same problem, turned out to be my nocking point on the string, I wasn't nocking on the same spot consistantly. I installed a brass button and it resolved a lot of the problem. I've also found that my attention wandered occasionally, causing me to miss my intended spot since I shoot instinctively. I solved that one by hanging a Daisy Shatter Blast disc on the center of the target's core, busting them is fun and really makes you focus since it's a 2" target.
