The U.S. military adopted the AR 15 under the designation "M16," therefore making our military the largest body of AR users in the world. What do they use them for? Shooting varmits? Nope, assaulting. Just because YOU don't have a 3 round burst or automatic setting on your AR, doesn't mean that there aren't variants out there with these options. Don't tell me what you know about ARs. Because I'm new to this forum, you're saying that I'm ignorant about firearms. It's obvious from from your posts that number of posts don't equal knowlege.
