I would try some different ammo regardless of if it changes the impact. I wouldn't even worry about where it hits. Just get a box of twenty of a different manufacturer like Winchester or something and fire them off to check for function. If it does it again take it back and have it looked at.
I'm not a huge remington ammo fan, but Core Lokt is not cheap ammo and it should function just fine. I guess there is that possibility that you got a bad box or something.
Like someone else has said, I have never had centerfire rifle fail to fire. I have had it happen with a 9mm from time to time though, but not to the extent you are talking about.
