Default RE: Darton Avalanche Extreme

All the engineering has been done. It' s just a matter of getting the final steps completed. That, however, may not be finished until very late this year. It will be a 2004 model; but, it may be released earlier than normal for a new model year.

I understand that they have found a way to make the C/P/S Extreme Cam (presently only available on the Avalanche and Magnum Extreme) work on the Maverick format. This was at first deemed not possible since the Extreme Cam was designed for the parallel style limb design.

The ' Maverick Extreme' will have the same basic specs - 37" ATA, a very mild reflex riser, and the recurve limbs. The major advantages will be a 7" BH and about 4 fps increase in speed - making it about 318 fps. The new Maverick Extreme will probably have the Martin riser dampeners as well. Think about it. Bows with comparable specs by other manufacturers average about 305-310 fps.
