Default RE: .35 cal round nose

ORIGINAL: skybuster20ga

huh. we have killed three moose just in the last 8 years (permit only here) all w/ a 350 mag and just a 200gr corlkt psp and they all dropped in their tracks. 32lbs 12lb and 88lbs nt giants but big enugh t draw a cnclusion off of. one was quartering twards us and brke the shoulder and exited one was butt of the ear and exited and the other was just abouve the shoulder and exited. i know it isnt a debate about the 350 mag itself so was it hornadys on all occasions? what did you or have you switched to in your 350's for a bullet
32 pound moose? What are you weighing the horns?? The balls on the moose i hunted weighed that much... HA HA HA (KIDDING of course lol)

OK, i switched to 250 grain bullets and got better performance... BUT, the best fix i did, was to dump the 35cal. and go to an .338-06...

Keep in mind i was working toward a rifle to hunt big bears with, so i EXPECTED no failures in my bullets. I shot a lot of big game and did a lot of bullet testing and the 33's out performed the 35's... (i was hunting brown bears regularly)

This was long ago, and there arebetter choises in 35 cal. bulletstoday. If i was hunting moose or big bears today with an 350 mag., i'd be useing Nosler partitions in it.
