No, you only get half the points for the buck you actually shoot. The dead buck gets the other half of the points for the assist!

It's likeif you have two tags and shoot at a buck and unfortunately it turns out to be a gut shot. The arrow passes through the buck and hits the spike buck standing behind the first buck in the heart and drops it immediately. You only get the points for the spike buck because it was the first one dead. Then there is a 100 point deduction for taking the stupid shot.
