Default RE: Official Team 29 Thread

Yeah boys....let's keep politics out of here! There's no quicker way to start bad blood or a fight than by discussing RELIGION or POLITICS, and we don't need any of that in here.
Lucan, I'd like to say WELCOME to the great sport that is BOWHUNTING! I didn't know you were a virgin so to speak, and perhaps neither did the rest of the team, so if you have ANY questions, feel free to ask. I do want to tell you though to not put too much pressure on yourself to score BIG for this contest or for anyone else's standards. I can still remember my first archery buck like it was yesterday, and he was basically a mut! He was a solid 1 1/2 year old deer weighing in at 131 dressed, but he had one of the ugliest racks I had ever seen to this date. At the time did I care? HELL NO! I was learning, and to me that buck was the greatest thing on earth at the time, but as I matured and gained more experience....so did my goals for hunting. Would I trade any of the smaller bucks I shot early in my career? Again...NO. I came away from each one having learned something new, and it made me a better hunter.
I'm sure some of the other guys will be chiming in as well to tell you that experience is the best teacher, and I can promise you that if you set your sights too high to start off, it could easily lead to a lot of frustration and disappointment. I'm not going to tell you how to hunt or preach at you, but we will be looking forward to hearing your stories of your hunts as in a lot of ways you are going to be seeing things for the first time. It's a far different thing hunting with a bow vs. a firearm, and I'm confident you're absolutely going to love it!
