nice rybo!!
i just got 2 bad classes my freshmen year...had calc 1 in HS no problem..got here and took precalc..first test grade was a 32...studied, did homework, went to class...went and got a tutor after that...worked with him every week...learned more that semester than all of HS..that 32 was the highest test grade. i KNEW what the homework was and what the tutor helped me with..tests were just totally different. failed the 4 credit course...kept it thinking id get through it but never did and couldnt drop it because i dropped chem...same semester i had my first ever chem class...professor blew us all out of the water...all the chem tutors were full...1/2-3/4 of the class dropped by the time i dropped....i was lost from day 1 and there was no helping by the time i realized how lost i was...he was teaching too fast, too hard to understand and jumped alllll over...only ones that could hack it were the ones with a good history in chem...did get an A in my engineering class that semester
soooo i stumbled into my current major of Park and Resource management...worked at Cape Cod national seashore this summer as the park dispatcher...in my schools park LE academy this year and will hopefully be working as an LE ranger in the national parks starting this summer...got a great chance to be back to cape cod next summer...no, i'll never make the kinda money some engineers do....but i believe i'll be happier..ive ALWAYS wanted to work LE all my life...dad talked me outta local and state police jobs for numerous reasons...namely pay and job availability...did alot of work with rangers this summer and i think im gunna love it...thats what matters most...got alot of different potential career paths...but im going to start out as a seasonal LE ranger in the national parks...
